Anchor Manager Terms of Service
Last updated: September 18, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Anchor Manager, an app developed by an individual developer, Khurram Naseem ("the Developer", "we", "us"), as a companion to the Anchor app. By creating an account or otherwise using Anchor Manager, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Description of service
Anchor Manager lets you act as an Accountability Partner for someone using the Anchor app: accepting their invitation, seeing their protection status and protected apps (read-only), and approving or rejecting requests they send you. Anchor Manager has no independent functionality — it requires an Anchor user to invite you before it does anything.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher, to create an Anchor Manager account.
Accounts and security
You're responsible for providing accurate account information and for keeping your password confidential. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Your role as an Accountability Partner
Becoming someone's Accountability Partner is opt-in on both sides — you only gain any access after accepting an invitation, and you may end the relationship at any time (subject to any restriction the Anchor user set when connecting). Your role is strictly to review and decide on requests the Anchor user sends you (more time, a lower limit, removing an app, or turning protection off) — you can never change their device, their protected apps, or their limits directly, and Anchor Manager provides no control that would let you do so.
Being an Accountability Partner is a supportive role in someone else's self-directed use of a productivity tool. It is not a clinical, medical, or therapeutic role, and Anchor/Anchor Manager are not substitutes for professional help with addiction, mental health, or any condition requiring clinical intervention.
You're responsible for reviewing requests honestly and in the Anchor user's own interest, consistent with whatever understanding you have with them — Anchor Manager has no way to verify the reasoning behind your decisions.
No subscriptions or payments in this app
Anchor Manager itself has no subscriptions, purchases, or payment features. The Anchor user's Anchor Pro subscription is purchased and managed entirely within the Anchor app. If their subscription isn't active, Anchor Manager will show you that your ability to approve or reject their requests is paused, while still letting you see their existing requests and history — this is expected behavior, not an error.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app beyond what's permitted by applicable law; accept an invitation from someone you don't actually intend to support as an accountability partner; use the app to harass or pressure the Anchor user you're connected with; or use the app in any way that violates applicable law.
Intellectual property
Anchor Manager's app, design, branding, and content are owned by the Developer and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You retain all rights to the data you enter into the app (such as a rejection reason you write).
Disclaimer of warranties
Anchor Manager is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted, error-free operation. We do not guarantee that requests will always reach you promptly, or that the Anchor user’s protection status shown to you is always perfectly current.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use Anchor Manager, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Termination
You may stop using Anchor Manager and log out at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. To request deletion of your account and data, contact us at the email below — see the Privacy Policy’s "Data retention and deletion" section for why this is currently a manual process rather than a self-serve option.
Changes to the service or these terms
We may modify or discontinue features of Anchor Manager, and may update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date in the app. Continuing to use Anchor Manager after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Anchor Manager will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
